P.139 Ching Floor Plan

Ching Window: Edited

Elevation Drawing of Pat's Chair

Drinkin and Drawin

This drawing was done at Tate Street Coffee. I began on the right side of the page but soon hated it, beings the girl does not look like my friend at all. Then once that did not turn out so right I wasn't feeling it so I moved on to the left. I believe this drawing turned out the best out of them all. The lines are more loose yet still capture the scene. These drawings below were all done at Starbucks back home in Charlotte. Unfortunately there weren't many people to draw and once I remotely started sketching their body they got up and left. So this is my parents below. My mom kept moving her face and then you couldn't see it anymore so that's where the disturbing black blob came from.

Mossman Building Thumbnails

Mossman Building Drawings from Inspiration Artists

This is inspired by Paula Becker. I was not aware though that we weren't allowed to use gray markers. I thought it turned out pretty well except the grays were off, one was warm and one was cool but it was fun to work with.
This was inspired by Tommy Kane's blog. I love how sketchy he is with his lines. This is inspired by Y K B K, I love the little dots on the walls to add a sense of texture. I wish I had created more tonal values but my thumbnails were focused more on composition and moments rather than the values.

This drawing was inspired from a blog I found called Le Pen Quotidien. I loved the variation of line weight and quality in his drawing however it had color in it as well. My drawing didn't turn out as well because it was lacking the color quality. This drawing was inspired by a second year's blog, Tim Robinson. I loved his sketchy yet controlled lines, it adds character.

Mossman Building:Inspiration Artist Pics

This is from Paula Becker's Blog. I love the washes and loose feel to her style.

This inspiration illustration is from Tommy Kane's Blog. I love the style and the illustration cracks me up. It reminds me of when I was younger. My family had the big tv that sat on the floor and I would be staring in front of it shoving my face with popcorn watching RugRats. ha.

This illustration is from Y K B K. I love how he illustrates the fence.

This is from Tim Robinson's blog, a second year that helped us first semester. I love it, the lines and shading have a perfect messy quality to them.

This is from Le Pen Quotidien. There is just enough color in here to make it pop and the variation of lines is beautiful.

2x4

Design a sustainable system using no less or no more than a 18 inch 2x4.

5 Detail Drawings

I'm not totally sure if I did these correct, I missed the class they were assigned, however I did my best interpreting the assignment. I wasn't sure if it could be detail drawings of anything.Piping above my desk. This is my favorite. You can really see the detail of the clamp supporting the pipes together.
These are the light fixtures above my desk. I thought it was interesting how they incorporated the screw holding the slates of glass into the design. If it was not meant to be there then they would have made it more discrete.

Here is the beam next to my window. It is amazing how it is supporting the whole frame of the building. I love how big the bolts are, it works with the design of the building.

dorm room.

Right after I did this drawing I decided we needed to rearrange and clean our room. I couldn't possibly live like this anymore.
