communitybydesign : iar 201-01 : fall 08 : path; vignettes

Wayfinding can be defined as the process of using spatial and environmental information to find our way in the built environment. An effective wayfinding strategy creates clear paths by using visual, verbal and/or auditory clues such as:

landmarks + architectural elements
color + lighting
signalswa
signs + maps

We were all assigned different locations to go within our group. We were to start out where you live at and go to the designated area. I had the gazebo at the Arboretum. I was quite unsure how to approach this assignment so I tried to compare and copy how Lynch tried to illustrate in the book.
